It is thought to be the worst E-Fit sketch ever, with it being compared to the likes of the scarecrow out of the Wizard of Oz. It was apparently drawn by a female witness. Despite the picture being that of a bit of a laughing-stock and highly criticised, the police have surprisingly arrested a man in connection with the murder. However, laws in the country of Bolivia where the crime took place state that they are not allowed to reveal the identity of the man they have arrested.

I take it he has no ears then?

I think that the sketch is quite funny, but you have to feel sorry for the witness who apparently drew it. She must have been through enough trauma without having to listen to people making a mockery out of her sketch too. At the end of the day, the police have arrested someone, which makes the witness a bit of a hero in my book.

Footballer Levi Foster was going to get sent off before the football match had even started, as he ’farted’  in the ref’s face whilst having his boots checked before kick off! He managed to beg the ref into changing it into just a caution, however both sides were in hysterics. I bet the ref didn’t see the funny side of it though, Levi claims he had eaten a curry the night before! 

Funnily enough, he went on to get the man of the match award after the game.

Stephen Fry has 'retired' from Twitter due to some hurtful tweets.

I am a sucker for using social networking sites, these include various forums, Facebook and Twitter. I find that most forums, apart from one or two that I’m a regular on, contain 50% idiots and 50% nice people. The few that i am a regular on are very respectable forums – hence why I’m a regular! 

Anyway, the reason i bring all this up, is because Stephen Fry has threatened to leave Twitter today as he finds some people’s words on there harsh and hurtful. Now, i don’t know EXACTLY what was said to him, but I totally feel his pain as I know that it’s a common problem to find yourself being bullied online. How anyone can have the nerve to insult him anyway is just beyond me – he’s one of my favourite personalities on TV and has been around for years…most people on Twitter aren’t even fit enough to tie his shoe laces. I find it very disappointing that this has happened, because I saw him not so long ago on a chat show here in the UK speaking about how much he adores Twitter - now this person has obviously gone and ruined all of that joy for him. 

I find it pretty weird – and also sad, how we can now be open to insults whilst just sitting here in our living rooms, minding our own business, browsing the Internet. I remember when I was younger, the only chance of me receiving an insult was if I left the house or did something at home to irritate the family…they were insults from ‘real’ people, not people who think they’re big because they’re typing to you through a box – but would they dare say those things to your face? I think not. 

Then there are the horrid stories you hear on the news about children being abducted and abused via these networking sites, and it just makes you start to really fear for the future doesn’t it? It makes me think that the world was such a better place without computers, and that in years to come things will only start to get worse when we start to rely on computers for EVERYTHING in life…even school  teachers won’t exist in years to come, pupils will be taught through a speaking a computer - I just get a nasty feeling that everything will be computerized. 

Anyway, i would just like to ask anyone who is on twitter to let Mr Fry know that he is loved and that we all want him back! You can do that by using the hashtag #stephenfrymuststay . The England v Ukraine match was Internet viewing only

There was an uproar yesterday, as the England v Ukraine match was only accessible via the Internet, but some other countries were able to see the game on TV.

When i last checked…i was British, right? So how come we don’t get to watch an ENGLAND game in ENGLAND? But some other countries CAN see the game, who are not ENGLISH? Makes no sense to me…

This leaves me asking one question – has the Internet actually taken over the world in the sense that we won’t even be needing TV or radio at all in the future? You can now listen to radio stations, even being able to create your own virtual one on the Internet, so why bother needing a radio? And there are lots of streams that you can watch ‘legally’ paying for them when it comes to watching tv programmes, or just catch up on ITV Player or BBC i-player, which is in fact free.

Some bands even release songs for download only without even bothering to release an album in store.

I guess i feel slightly sorry for the older generation who have no access to the Internet and who struggle to work computers, as in the future, if all things do go ‘virtual’, how will they cope?

The Internet is gradually going to take over the world and everything we know.

I really feel like stating an opinion on this, as I was a fan of Boyzone during the ’90′s, and even still now, since their comeback.

I was 11 years old, and my wall was plastered with posters of the band. My favourite member back then was Stephen – I guess it’s because I used to think he was the cutest! This crush lasted until they finally split in 2000.

How happy I was to hear they had reformed in 2007! My music taste had totally changed by this point, I was into rock music, my favourite bands being Metallica and Queen…but i really was excited about this news.  It was nostalgia for me.

I went to see them perform twice during this reunion, and I was recently lucky enough to have Stephen stand right in front of me during one of their shows and share a bit of banter with the people standing next to me. He was only 33 years old when he died. Way too young.

Such a shock.

Will the band continue without him? I hope so…but who knows. It may just be too hard for them.

This is all i have to say on the matter really…

RIP Stephen Gately.

But it’s not just him that it happened to, there have been more down the line. I just wish that the Press would lay off people in times like that…but unfortunatly stuff like that is what sells.

But I won’t ever be covering anything like that. It’s just too awful to even imagine.

Let’s show some respect…i know there are at least some decent people out there somewhere.

P.S  – I had to figure out how to get rid of the ‘related story links’ at the bottom of this article, as surprise surprise, they were all linking to THOSE pictures. It makes me laugh how some people state how wrong it is to have those pictures printed in the newspapers etc, but they also put them up on their blogs at the same time whilst complaining about it…just doesn’t make sense.

Apparently, if your child eats too many sweets at a young age, they will be the more likely to become more aggressive as an adult. This certainly puts the whole ‘computer games will turn your kids into murdering psychopaths’ argument on the back seat doesn’t it? Whatever next, is what I ask… 

I understand that too much sugar can cause any human to turn slightly hyperactive (especially after eating too many of them blue Smarties!), but aggressive? I personally find all of this amusing, and with it having been taken from a survey…well, it’s hardly fact.  You just cannot go off surveys…i think they’re ridiculous, they never get to the actual core. 

I eat quite a lot of sweet stuff now and again, and I haven’t lashed out at anyone seriously and meant it. I mean, we all probably have once or twice in our lives, but there’s no way you can blame that on what you eat. 

I think this is just another scam to let parents’ actions around their children off the hook when it comes to them acting inappropriately, because it should be the parents’ bad actions that turns kids aggressive, not this. Instead, they’ll just get a slap on the wrist and told not to feed their child too much blue sponge cake again… 

Ridiculous.

Take That in their early years

It has been announced today that the 1980′s re-united pop band Spandau Ballet are releasing a new single, the first one since 20 years ago having just signed a record deal, with an album to shortly follow. They begin their come back tour next month. 

What is it with recent bands making comebacks? 

It all started with Take That, the UK’s first ever boyband that burst onto the scenes in the early ’90′s, wearing short spandex trousers and cycling shorts…yes, i seem to remember the video well too, they all had a wobbly jelly resting on each of their bums, as they rolled about  on the floor with their trousers down. They split around about 1996, and there were reports on teenage girls committing suicide because of this…but now they are back, and have been back a fair few years now. They re-formed in 2005, and have been as successful as ever. 

Then followed the Spice Girls…they re-formed to do a tour, but the tour was cancelled early due to reports that they were not getting on well with each others company…that re-union was very short-lived. 

Then we have Boyzone. Now, growing up, i loved these. They arrived on the scene in 1994, but were always in Take That’s shadow. When Take That split up, Boyzone became the biggest boyband around. But in 2000 they split, because their lead singer Ronan Keating wanted to become a solo star, and the band dissolved from there. In 2007, they announced they were getting back together, and have since done two successful re-union shows. They are as of yet, still to release a new album, but rumours are that will be released in 2010. 

One of the latest bands to re-unite are New Kids On The Block. They were known for their mullets and crazy dancing during the late 1980′s, but they are now back after quite a long time out. 

So…what has caused this sudden trend for bands to re-unite? Is it money? Fame? Or do they just generally love performing and music? 

The big question is, do women who are now in their 20′s/30′s want to be drooling over these 30′s/40′s/50 somethings year old men in ‘boybands’. Take That have proved that they have the staying power…only time will tell for the others.

A tyre factory had caught fire, resulting in 400,000 tyres going up in flames. Locals claim that they could hear gas canisters exploding, and unconfirmed reports suggest that a number of houses have been destroyed. Thankfully, there have yet to be any casualties.

Flames were shooting 100 feet into the air. From my house i could see thick black smoke haunting the night sky. It was all very eerie. Lots of homes closer to the fire have been evacuated, and people have been ordered to stay indoors with all the windows shut, due to possible toxic smoke. The flames are expected to go on all weekend, which also results in a number of trains being cancelled, causing massive disruption across the town.

The whole of Warsop has been closed off, with pipes being spread across the village, over people’s doorsteps and driveways, as it pumps water out of the nearest river to try and tackle the blaze.

The question on everyones lips right now, is what exactly caused this disaster? Was it accidental? Or was it intent? Which ever it was, i hope that it soon gets sorted so that it can bring peace back into the community.
